The race was conducted by the Morro Bay Parks & Recreation Department.

SANTA MARIA, JULY 14 - 33RD FIELDS TO FAIR TEN MILE (Guadalupe to Santa Maria):

"Based on comments from the entrants, this year’s run was another success. As usual, the cool coastal climate made for ideal running conditions. The course was well marked and traffic control officers were there to help runners safely find their way to the finish line at the fairgrounds where they were motivated by deejay Frankie in the final stretch. Everyone then enjoyed the awards ceremony and barbeque. Notable performances were turned in by Luis Perez, the oldest entrant at 75 who ran 80:38, Joshua Byrne, the youngest at 14, Cheryl Price, the final finisher and a new SLDC member running her longest race to date, and winners Adolfo Lopez and Micaela Brandt. Finally, I would like to thank our volunteers and sponsors without whose generosity this race would not exist." /Luis Escobar/
