The race raised $2200,
$300 more than last year and the highest total to date. Proceeds were
distributed to Loaves & Fishes, Harvest Bag, Friends of the Prado Day
Center, EOC Homeless Services, Meals on Wheels, North County WomenÕs Shelter,
& Grass Roots II. The canned goods were donated to The Food Bank Coalition
of SLO County. Thanks to those who attended and donated, and to the officials
– Jennifer Eichelberger, Neil Silvers, & Wayne Tyo,(registration),
Neil Wilcox & Bill Winstanley (course administration), the SLO Rugby Club
(water station), Pete Dorn (publicity and canned goods collection/delivery),
and Elaine & Stan Rosenfield (finish line).
