1500M Prelims (Friday) Ð 1. Jordan Hasay/Arroyo Grande-SLDC 4:34.02. 3000M Finals (Saturday) Ð 1. Jordan Hasay 9:48.77  This is another new national Youth record, lowering her own mark of 9:51.76 set at the Jr. Olympics Regional meet in Fresno. The prior mark had been 9:57.16 from 1987.

PISMO BEACH, AUGUST 7 Ð STRIDE WITH THE TIDE 5K/10K:

Most people wait years to win an open distance race but JordanÕs wait was much shorter. Six months after her 5K debut, the talented twelve year old outran experienced veterans Paul Lee & Frank Hutchinson to take the top honors at Pismo Beach. With her speed tuned up from her recent track races at the Junior Olympics, Jordan went to the front immediately and stayed there, leading the 5K runners as well as the 10K ones who started at the same time. The sponsoring Pismo Beach Recreation Department had a good turnout of close to 250 on a morning that was sunny and hot in the rest of the county but foggy and cool at the beach for the race.  -  / www.pismobeach.org / -
